The Hideaway Beach Resort & Spa is located on the virgin island of Dhonakulhi, North Maldives. A tropical sanctuary between skies and sand,, welcoming the first guests in 2005. Hideaway Beach is one of the very few resorts in the Haa-Alifu Atoll, and our Marina is the first of its kind in the Maldives.
Dhonakulhi is a large crescent-shaped island spanning 297,000 sqm. Its white, sandy beaches stretch more than 1 kilometer on each side, and the turquoise waters of its waist-deep lagoon host a rich, colorful sea life. The island is uniquely formed, and its reef structure is split in two distinct parts by a natural channel, thus forming a natural harbour for the Marina. Finally, Dhonakulhi shelters various tropical trees (bananas, coconuts, breadfruits…) as well as a range of endemic bushes and mangroves.
